The Ruxton
The Ruxton, New York, NY
Zaskorski & Associates designed the historic preservation of the facade of 50 West 72nd Street, a NYC landmark. The original design by Sugarman & Berger, the architects of the New Yorker Hotel on 34th street.
Construction included lobby restoration, and the residential corridors. Apartment renovation and the replacement of an aluminum and glass facade installed in 1950 with the design of an appropriate limestone facade including brass doors, awnings, signage, and lighting at ground floor. Z&A worked with the engineering consultants for HVAC, electrical and plumbing risers and branch replacement.
The project required a public hearing with the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.
