St. Cecillia Church,

Brooklyn NY

Restoration to these Georgian-white-marble-clad main and side entry façades were designed with the intent of preserving the remaining delicately-sculpted details, many of which sustained significant damage from decades of water infiltration. Zaskorski & Associates worked with skilled tradesmen to remove, repair, and catalogue the marble face blocks and copings for re-installation following the reconstruction of the supporting masonry walls. New flashings and roofing were installed to preserve this soft stone and allow the church to consider their options for stabilizing or replicating the relief of St Cecelia which has graced this doorway for generations of parishioners. Construction costs to date total almost $200,000.
