St. Michaels School, Queens NY

Zaskorski & Associates Architects designed the exterior repairs and restoration of St. Michaels School. The school building is a brick masonry building with limestone arches and detailing.

The repairs included complete parapet reconstruction and extensive brick replacement, structural steel replacement or reinforcement, waterproofing, limestone detail restoration and other quality of life work for the school function. For example replacing the aging exterior brick steps with new concrete steps that conform with ADA and NYC school kid safety guidelines.

The project was completed in 2019 and the construction cost was 2 million.
