Holy Child Jesus, Richmond Hill NY
Holy Child Jesus Church in Richmond Hill, Queens was designed by Murphy & Lehmann Architects and constructed in 1931.
Zaskorski & Associates prepared an exterior and interior building conditions report, a deficiencies assessment report and preliminary cost estimates, for the main church building, the rectory and the bell tower. Z&A construction documents identified 52 types of repairs and worked within the Church’s budget to prioritize the underlying construction deficiencies. Many of the repairs were focused on deteriorated masonry of the bell tower. Repairs included: parapet reconstruction, a new copper roof and flashing, concrete slab repair and reconstruction of decorative stone corners.
Exterior restoration was completed in 2016.
